A further DAX 30 company has chosen the Worms-based promotional item specialists: GBC was able to convince Allianz with, amongst other things, its individual webshop and e-commerce solutions.
The GBC Global Brand Concepts’ team was on tenterhooks for around eight months but was then able to celebrate securing one of the biggest and most traditional German companies as new client: Allianz Deutschland AG had carefully examined the merchandising provider market and, in the end, decided upon the young and rapidly growing company from Worms.
Hereby three aspects were particularly important for Allianz: adherence to the most challenging ethical, social and ecological guidelines, safety standards of the highest level as well as the development, design and programming of various online shops with connection to the Allianz e-procurement system.
The latter was particularly challenging: “Many different user groups, a high number of products and the direct connection to the Allianz systems with accordingly strict compliance requirements – not exactly an everyday challenge even for us, as webshop pros,” said GBC team leader IT/E commerce, Matthias Kuhn.
Michael Weissenrieder, founder and managing director of GBC, highlighted another challenge: “Around 9,000 representatives work for Allianz who all require individualized promotional items. We are only able to provide this because all product finishing is conducted in-house and our new logistics center means that paths in dispatch are short and we can control everything.”
Allianz Deutschland AG does, of course, also expect creative and innovative product offers as well as a consistently high product quality. Also in this respect GBC is able to offer something special: with 33 employees at its sites in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzen and Philadelphia, a large part of the GBC team of more than 80 staff works locally.Go back
